to glorify God and serve the people of Nelson County, Ky.
God has done great things at Bloomfield Baptist
Church. Our church was founded in 1791, but it exhibits many traits
of a new church. Our worship features a stimulating blend of contemporary
and traditional music. Dramas and PowerPoint presentations enhance
our services and give them a contemporary feel. Leland Parks, our
Associate Pastor for Worship, plans and leads our worship. You will
find that our congregation participates with enthusiasm that is rare in
Southern Baptist churches.
Our church motto is “Teaching the Word; Touching
the World.” This motto reflects our emphasis on Matthew 28:19.
Our pulpit ministry emphasizes expository preaching and verse-by-verse
Bible teaching. Our church also stresses the centrality of missions
in our congregational life.
